Included in this post is the download for the Dashware application useful for producing video overlays on your quadcopter footage.

The download has extra chroma key templates that are useful.

In the file are also extra overlays for the Yuneec Q500, however the application is good for other footage besides the yuneec series quadcopters.

Below is a corresponding video I made that may be helpful to new users of dashware.

    Thanks for this! Very helpful.

Just a quick note to others that see this. The Dashware download link includes the templates and the conversion tool mentioned.

Hi, Rocky here. Just received my Q500+and while reviewing the unbox and set up videos, saw the Dashware for Q500 and decided to join the forum. This is my first post. I haven't flown the Typhoon yet, but the weather here around Chicago (50 mi. South), is supposed to be great this weekend. Be chatting with you again, soon!

So has anyone found a way to make this work with the 4K video? I would really like to create some videos with my telemetry data included but the Dashware program constantly crashes when trying to create the video. I have read this is because ffmpg doesn't support 4K video but not sure if that is true. I am using Windows 10 and using all the files supplied in the zip in OP.

Have you tried just rendering on a black or green background and merging the video later?

Or, rendering the video to a smaller size?

Quite a few forums say that ffmpeg does work with 4k. Maybe it's a bug in dashware?

Sorry, I am a noob when it comes to editing video so I have no idea what to do for your first question regarding the background color. Currently I am using the instructions and templates provided in the zip file on this thread which uses a blue background.

I would rather not render in a smaller size, no point shooting in 4K if I cannot keep it that way.

I have been reading around and cannot find any info that is concrete on whether this is an issue with ffmpg or Dashware (or the ffmpg included in Dashware) and is why I posted here asking if anyone else has this working and can provide some info on what they did different than what the video in the OP shows
